OWI Posters of World War II

This site will describe the posters published by the Office of War Information during World War II. My interest is mainly in the security posters in this series, but I've decided to build this site to cover all of them, due to the lack of information currently available online.

I've updated my list of OWI posters, and I'll be adding images and more information as it becomes available. Please let me know if you have any information on these interesting posters. You can also see the list in gallery format.

A note about sizes. Posters published by the OWI are most commonly found in the 20"x28" size. They can also be found in 28"x40" and sometimes in smaller sizes, though always a multiple of 7"x10", as far as I can tell. (Sometimes they're 1/2" smaller, due to cropping). I've only started looking into it, but it seems the GPO number is the same no matter what the size. Can anyone confirm or disprove this?

I'll add a better method to contact me later, but until then, please contact me through my band website. In the meantime, you can support this website by purchasing a propaganda poster t-shirt!

Thanks!

Wil
